As promised here’s my weekly update!
This past week I worked on completing the second draft of the script and also started work on the second draft of the thumbnails. Last week I promised early subscribers a chance to read the script. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to do that. More on that next week.
You might be wondering why I’ve chosen to make a comic book. The thing that excites me the most with creating comics is how the creator can control every aspect of the storytelling. With a movie or tv show it’s much more collaborative, and there’s also a lot of money involved which tends to muddy the creative waters. But with comics everything falls onto the creator’s shoulders. When you’re the sole person involved in a project it’s completely up to you with what the final result will be. If the project crash and burns you’re the only one to blame. That being said, you never have to compromise your vision; it’s 100% yours.
I think that’s where this newsletter comes in. While I’m creating this comic book on my own, its nice to have a team of supporters to help me along. Ultimately once the book is completed, it’ll be nice to know there’s an audience who’s wanting to read it and own a copy.
Let me finish this week by giving you a little info on the story’s premise:
During the eve of a full moon, on the side of a highway, man, Jack Landis, stops to help a woman and her small child. They are being assaulted by a group of road raging thugs. But Jack’s been cursed by the light of a full moon. In spite of this curse will he be able to help rescue the victims or seal their fate?
Thanks again for the support,
Nick
