I'm back! Back from the future!

Nov. '23 Newsletter

So it’s been a hot minute.

A lot has happened since my last letter. Honestly I kept putting if off because I constantly had so much new stuff coming out that I wanted to wait and put it all into a single newsletter. But now there is so much stuff that I can’t possibly fit it all here.

The quick and the dirty is:

1. I got to do some sketch cards for Topps and their Star Wars Galaxy Chrome ‘23 set that came out in August. Here’s three of the 56 cards I did:

   

You can see more on my instagram LumberjackNickArt. Btw this makes me an official Star Wars artist. Just shy under ten years to complete that goal 😅

2. I also did some cards for the SoCal Star Wars Legion tournment again this year:

   

   

3. The last project was some sketch cards for a fun project called Lunch box Leftovers

   

4. Also I started grad school! My first day was Oct. 11th and that’s taken up a lot of my time since then. It’s been great so far though!

5. And lastly, Sliced Timber #1! All of my extra time I’ve poured into finishing the first, oversized issue. Here’s a page I literally just finished today:

Though there is still a lot of the book to complete, I have all of December off from school and I’m planning on knocking a big chunk of the book out before the first of the year. Though my goal was to have Sliced Timber #1 out this fall, it’s unfortunately not possible. A more realistic goal is Spring ‘24. It’ll be here before we know it.

I’ve had the tendancy to put paying jigs infront of the comic. But from now to its completion, I’m taking an oath of no other projects! I’m saying Sliced Timber or bust!
